Album of the moment

It's finally returned. I'll be honest, I've been hooked to that Delphic album along with a couple of others all this time since i posted the very fist AOTM. Here's my latest though. Comes to you courtesy of American Indie Band..Band Of Horses.

Now this isn't a recent album by any means but it's an album that over the past few days i've came back to. Their not a very well known band over here apart from the people who are quite into their american indie bands. For anyone interested in them though, here's their last.fm page HERE

Now back to the album. I firstly discovered it when i got myself a piece of "SKATE" for the Xbox 360. They had the band's number "The Funeral" on one of the introductory skater videos. The song grew on me and so i decided to check out the album naturally. It's not the longest of albums, interestingly enough neither are their other albums. There are a few joyful tracks on it though, they include, of course, The Funeral, along with others like "The Great Salt Lake" and "The First Song" which actually falls, evidently enough, at the beginning of the album.

Again if you're interested in them at all, check out their last.fm page for a little bit of info and definitely check out the album. They've released "Cease To Begin" since this album and also have a new album planned for sometime in 2010 so keep an eye out for them.

Skate 3 Cover Art!

It's official, Skate 3 is now one step closer to grinding onto that wood we call shop shelves. Blackbox just unveiled the new box art for the third title in the series of Tony Hawk's nemesis. Along with the box art came a cool trailer showcasing one of the latest spots in the new game. The University.

Chicane Chill Out Sessions

Seriously, when you're in the mood for it, there is nothing like a good Chicane session. Currently sitting listening away to the original mix of Saltwater by the man himself. It's a 10 minute mix but for the whole of that 10 minutes i find myself magically transported to somewhere abroad. Chicane = holiday then it seems. Can't go a second without imagining myself on a beach somewhere when i hear any of his songs in the background.

LOST?

I'm just posting to bring up a point. I mentioned a couple of weeks back that i'd write a little bit concerning the return of lost.. As is visible now, i failed at that, must've got magically lost along the way. I'll be posting up a decent sized portion of lost discussion in the coming days...definitely!

FIFA World Cup 2010 Footage

Just been looking at little tidbits of footage of the game in action. I'm still not sure whether or not it's worth buying. I have and i'm still enjoying Fifa 10. Every time they bring out a new version or spin-off, it always puts you off the one before.

Just wanted to post this clip up though, mainly because of the celebration. Can't wait to be pulling those off :D

The Crazies

How....crazy does this film look?
I've read up about it and from what i gather, it's a re-make of a previous bunch of crazies but a different take on the thing. The director's also mentioned though that he's looking to stay as true to the original as possible.


This trailer's been running in the cinema for months now and every time i watch it, i just get more and more hyped for the film. After seeing all this, i still have no idea what actually happens in the film. I assume they try to contain this "virus". Aslong as it gives off the same feel as the trailer throughout then i'll be glued to it.

SUPER BOWL XLIV

Now to make this clear from the get-go. I have no idea how this game works at all but i'm sitting watching it live and after what...an hours worth of watching, i'm still utterly clueless as to how the rules in NFL work. I'm definitely gonna look into it. Always thought it was basically rugby with pads. The Saints are winning at the time of writing this. I used them in the pic above because i preferred the look of their kits. Black and Gold is always gonna be a winner. Anyone else watching it with about as much knowledge as myself then? Someone care to explain the rules maybe? even bare basics :) I'm not going to last till half 3 at this rate...

Edit - Looks like the Saints are the winners. The underdogs pulled it out the bag. Apart from the annoying american ads every 5 minutes (which resulted in constant cut backs to the BBC studio) It was fairly enjoyable. I "may" just tune in again next year :)

Found myself a sweet tutorial on making a sticker effect in photoshop and came up with that. Pretty chuffed with it to be honest. Not messed about in photoshop for months. I'm gonna be experimenting with different backgrounds over the coming week or so so be on the look out and let me know if you like any of them ya? :)

Also i've just created a new facebook group for the blog. Hoping it gets some decent numbers.

Chuck's Back!

Finally, Chuck has returned for his 3rd season. It wasn't even known last year if the show would be coming back but thankfully a plan was layed out and confirmed for it to go ahead.



I've just caught the first two episodes of the new season and they don't disappoint. I won't give anything away for people who maybe haven't seen the previous seasons but with what happened at the end of season 2, many people are expecting a new Chuck. Although new in some ways, good old classic Chuck is still on our screens. Just about to get myself caught up to speed. Gonna be a great week for TV series. The final series of LOST begins on Tuesday, for those of us who download it though, we'll wait till Wednesday to pick it up. More on that come Wednesday though. But for now, TV is back to normal :)
