It's all happening tomorrow night. I'll finally be admiring one of my favourite bands live, in my hometown of all places, Dundee.
Their playing in Fat Sams tomorrow (11th March) and to be honest i'm struggling for words right now to describe exactly how i'm feeling about it all.
I've been meaning to see Editors live for god knows how many years now. I had originally planned to see them live back in 2007 but fell short of having or knowing anyone who would be up for going along to Glasgow for it. Luckily their a little closer to home so it won't be a problem getting there. My favourite album is obviously "Back Room" closely followed by "An End Has A Start". Still trying to get their latest album on my good side. They've ditched the typical guitars and went with some synths. Not a bad thing, it just takes a bit of getting used to when you're too familiar to their old stuff. Similar to the likes of Linkin Park for example.
There's many a song i'm hoping they play live tomorrow night. Mainly the likes of "Munich", "Fingers in the factory", "Camera" from Back Room then "Smoker's outside the hospital doors", "Racing Rats" etc. If they play even half of them i'll be chuffed. I'll try my best to get some snaps but i'm pretty sure i'll be enjoying myself way too much and i'll probably forget. After this gig i'll only have Snow Patrol left to see from "Bands i'd love to see live"
