Some of you might not know who this guy is so if you don't read on and all shall be revealed..
If you do then you'll know he's someone who some might consider a comedy-writing genius.
I'm writing about him having just started reading one of his books. The book being "Yes Man". Some of you might have seen the film starring none other than Jim Carrey but behind the film is where this book shines.
Read on for a little more insight..
The movie is based on the book in which Danny goes about his day to day life saying nothing but yes. So far he's said yes and paid money to two people talking about adopt a granny schemes, minutes apart i may add. He's also confronted many homeless men asking for change. Keeping up with the yes-way of things, he actually writes that he went to a bank machine, followed by a shop to get the spare change for the homeless man. All because he asked if he had any spare change. Crazy stuff.
The funniest moment in it so far (i'm on chapter 3 at the moment) is when he ventures into a club with a friend. On being confronted about looking at another man's girl, he's asked..
are you looking at my girlfriend?
being tempted to say no he blurts out.... YES!
he's then asked
do i look like some sort of idiot?
again tempted to say no but arrives with... YES!
finally he's asked if he's looking for a smack in the jaw?
still not giving into temptation he answers YES!
After all that the guy turns round and calls him a psycho, then walks off. All giving him the impression that he took on this guy and won, just by saying... you guessed it.. YES!
If you're interested in the book check it out here
Definitely worth a look if you're into comedy and laughed at the examples up there :)
